Here goes - I've been asked how I do repeats. Over time and working with both basic (= free or cheap) and more elaborate (= pricey) graphics packages, I developed my own easy to remember and totally transportable method. I use Adobe Fireworks and Microsoft Powerpoint. Download and read full tutorial with images: ![]()

Hi, I'm new to spoonflower. I always look at your comments and am interested in what you are doing. I need so much help understanding repeats. It stops me from being creative and I sometimes feel that there are sooo many surface designers I could give up! Can you explain doing a repeats in Adobe ai...or photoshop. HELP!

Thanks for asking. I don't work in Adobe AI or Photoshop enough right now to create instructions for them but I do have the software and will look into creating instructions. Have you checked out the Spoonflower forum on Flickr? Some artists have posted instructions for creating repeats in AI there. 7/22/2012 04:25:08 pm
Thanks for your reply. I will wait for your instructions in Ai or photoshop. Most tutorials tell you how to do the simple random look. I get that. What I can't figure out is a more symmetrical, even design!! Comments are closed.
